LEASING brokers and dealers can produce monthly contract hire rate for small fleets operating up to 40 vehicles following the launch of a new internet site by Calleva, Powermarque's internet trading contract hire company. Calleva launched its new web-based quotation system 'Calleva Online' at the Fleet Show.

Accessible via its website - www.calleva.co.uk - the system allows dealerships and brokers to produce contract hire quotes and other funding method quotations via a live link over the worldwide web. Calleva hopes the system will cement its nationwide broker network and start to penetrate the dealer network as an alternative to the more traditional sources of fleet finance and hopes 60-80 brokers will have signed up to the service this year and about 200 dealers with a three to five year target of 1,000 dealers.

Newly-appointed Powermarque operations director, Matthew Dunne, who was previously Calleva's divisional director, said: 'The dealer fleet sales market is largely untapped by the contract hire industry outside manufacturer finance companies. We believe that our quotations system will revolutionise this sector of the market place, and give the dealers backing and resource that they have not had access to before now.'
