ASCOT-based Burgundy Cars is planning a large scale expansion during 2000 to consolidate its position as one of the UK's largest suppliers of executive car and chauffeuring services direct to the corporate market. This year the company estimates it will exceed sales of £12 million following the £2 million merger with London-based Safe and Secure Carriage and the £250,000 acquisition of London Chauffeur Services last December.

The new group, which boasts a fleet of 242 vehicles ranging from BMW 7-series to minibuses, is currently in the process of tendering for the contract at the new Southampton airport and is planning to open desks at every major airport in the UK by the end of 2001 through a franchise network. At present, the company operates throughout London and the south east of England but is planning to expand across the UK with the airport franchise plans.
