SILVER Shield Screens' managing director Keith Walker has left the company and been replaced by an executive from its new owner, Kwik-Fit. John Clark has moved to the top position at the glass replacement firm from a role of head of group operations - new projects, for Kwik-Fit.

Ford-owned Kwik-Fit bought the glass replacement firm in December last year and at the time, Sir Tom Farmer, chairman and chief executive of Kwik-Fit, said he intended to double its size 'as soon as possible'.

Clark, who has been with Kwik-Fit for 20 years, said: 'I am looking to make synergies between Silver Shield and Kwik-Fit and also with Ford. There will also be substantial expansion of the IT system.'

Silver Shield Screens currently has 20 outlets owned by the company and 20 franchises, along with a mobile fleet of 240 vehicles.
