ONE of the UK's newest contract hire companies, Arma, has launched an all-inclusive product that includes fuel and insurance within the monthly lease rental.

The product is already popular in the Netherlands, home of Arma's parent company Arma Beheer, which has seen a significant move towards the all-inclusive contract hire product.

Liam Donnelly, Arma's managing director, said: 'In Holland 70 per cent of contract hire is delivered this way, and we believe all companies who run company cars can save on administrative time and cost through working with a single supplier. We calculate they will save 10 per cent in costs over the life of the vehicle contract.'

The fuel element in monthly rentals is car and contract specific, based on the contracted mileage and the car's combined EC fuel consumption figure. Fuel underspend or overspend is consolidated on an open book basis once a year. The monthly insurance premium is also fixed, but only on an annual basis.

'When we talk to customers, we are talking on a genuinely wholelife cost basis by including all these elements within contract hire,' said Donnelly.
