VAUXHALL has launched a strategic courtesy car fleet programme with bodyshops in an effort to protect residual values. Vauxhall hopes to win around 20% of the courtesy car market, with a structured two-year replacement cycle programme largely involving Agila and Corsa models, although some Astra and Zafiras will also be on the programme.

Vauxhall fleet sales director Maurice Howkins said: 'We are now being more strategic because we don't want to see residual values on the models we place with bodyshops to deteriorate. We want to manage supply and that will help both the bodyshops and our customers.'
