GIANT U.S. fleet Ryder has signed an order for 10,000 OmniTRACS Mobile Systems that include two-way mobile communication, satellite tracking and fleet management software for real time messaging and vehicle locating. OmniTRACS is produced by QUALCOMM, which has 325,000 of its mobile systems being used by businesses in 36 countries on four continents. (April 2000)
