May 2000: LECTRONICS and engineering giant Invensys has signed an international agreement with GE Capital Fleet Services for the management of its fleet.

The contract starts in the United States, Canada and the UK, and may be rolled out across Europe.

Invensys runs about 3,000 vehicles in North America, and a further 2,100 in the UK where GECFS will provide sale and leaseback, full service leasing and accident management services.

Steve Taylor, GECFS managing director, said: 'Invensys' demanding selection criteria is based on tough quality controls that reflect GECFS's six sigma quality processes.'
