FRENCH car manufacturer Citroen plans to open a new subsidiary in Japan. The company said it had already set up subsidiaries and networks in Central and Eastern Europe, Mercosur and China, three regions with high growth potential. From April next year, in agreement with New Seibu Motor Sales, its partner for 35 years, Citroen will handle vehicle imports and distribution throughout Japan. (November 2001)
