TRAINING and support staff updating the computer systems of Lloyds Pharmacy branches in an urgent nationwide project will be driving rented 206 HDis following a deal with Peugeot. Despite having ordered 34 used cars for the 30,000 mile a year staff, it needed to get them on the road as soon as possible, to visit its 1,300 stores.

Peugeot fleet marketing manager Steve Lambert said: 'To ensure fast delivery of the vehicles it required, Lloyd's was about to opt for used vehicles, but we suggested that short- term rental would supply their immediate need while they were awaiting delivery of their fleet.' The cars will be supplied by Lex Vehicle Leasing.
