COMPANY car drivers behind the wheel of an Audi who suffer a mechanical breakdown could be rescued by a dedicated Audi breakdown service in the near future.

RAC Business Solutions has extended its pilot project to operate Audi-specific patrols to create a dedicated network of 32 Audi roadside technicians.

A new contract between the RAC and Audi will see the RAC employ the technicians who will drive a fleet of Audi-branded Audi allroad quattro models to deliver breakdown service.

The technicians will not provide services to drivers of non-Audi vehicles, although where necessary standard RAC patrols will provide services to Audi drivers. The new service will be fully operational by July.
