BCA claims that records tumbled in the north and the south of its network. Duncan Ward, BCA’s UK business development manager – commercial vehicles said: ‘Sales throughout September attracted huge crowds and both Belle Vue, Manchester and Blackbushe established new benchmarks for sold volumes in the month. Corporate vendors have enjoyed strong support from buyers and conversion rates have been high in this sector.’

He added that trade buyers and owner/operators have been competing strongly for stock, underlining the confidence in the small business sector, despite the interest rate rises over recent months.

Ward added: ‘Clean, low-mileage light commercials are still much in demand and prices have been exceptional. The owner/operator is financially astute to recognise a great deal on a van that has already taken the first slug of depreciation. The trade is eager because these vans represent a first-rate retail profit opportunity – providing the condition is commensurate with the age.’

Vehicle remarketing solutions has launched a new online source for used vehicles, which aims to get used vehicles to buyers within four working days.

Launched in conjunction with Toyota’s dealer network, Centre2Centre allows used car managers to buy and sell vehicles. Dealers can purchase vehicles and have them delivered within four working days.

VRS claims the system offers a risk-free solution to managing used stock.
