• Jackie Woolley has been promoted to quality control manager at ABS Accident Solutions' Cheshire branch. She will be responsible for developing and maintaining company procedures, implementing ISO accreditation and introducing training. Woolley joined ABS as call centre manager from roofing contractor Haironville TAC, where she was customer services manager. She has also held similar positions at Boddington Pub Company and Greenalls Pubs and Restaurants.

  • MOTOR claims group Town & Country Assistance has appointed Tim Rankin as its new managing director. Rankin, formerly head of motor services at Churchill Insurance's claims services group, has 15 years' industry experience. He spent five years working at Ford in sales and marketing and then became operations manager and business development director at Dial Contracts. He will be responsible for Town & Country's motor claims management. Town & Country has also appointed Ian Arundal as customer services director and James Dolden as UK insurance training manager.

  • STEVE Johnson has been appointed to Drive&Survive's board as marketing director. Johnson has been with the driver-training provider for eight years and will be responsible for the overall marketing remit and for the company's event division. Prior to his appointment, Johnson was responsible for the group's publicity and communications. Previously, he worked at public relations firm Gordon Bruce.

  • PAUL Bainton has been appointed as general manager at Dixon Citroen. He began his career as sales executive, progressing to sales manager and general manager at Dixon, where he worked for almost five years. He also has several years' experience working with Dixon's 60 dealerships across Yorkshire. Bainton has been in the car sales industry since leaving university and brings extensive product knowledge to Dixon Citroen.

  • DERBY Audi has appointed two new members to its service team. Simon Allen and Shaun Tulloch have both joined the group's Derby-based dealership. Allen is the new service manager and has worked at Derby Audi for two years. Prior to his promotion he worked as workshop controller. Tulloch joined the service department as service receptionist this year following a temporary role with the dealership last year.

  • COOPER Tyre & Rubber Company has appointed David Carson as European brand manager for the Melksham branch of Cooper-Avon Tyres. Carson will implement brand strategies for all the brands under the company's European umbrella in his new role. He will also be responsible for product planning, working closely with the car and motorcycle tyre product managers. He will report to Michael Cati, the group's European marketing manager.
