  • Describe your fleet.

A combination fleet comprising 37 lease cars, five leased minibuses, four leased vans and 10 owned other vehicles.

  • Are there any perks to working in the fleet industry?

Yes, I get the opportunity to inspect and drive various manufacturers’ vehicles on organised function days.

  • What are you working on at the moment?

We are currently looking at the specifications for renewing the lease of three minibuses.

  • What are the greatest challenges you have faced at work?

First, getting the staff drivers to ensure trips are logged as some of the vehicles are multi-driver and speeding offences need tracking to the user. The other is to train deaf drivers in the use of minibuses, including theory test and on road assessment – there are more than two hand signs when on the road.

  • Where is your favourite holiday destination?

Santa Eulalia on Ibiza is our favourite but this year’s pending cruise trip to the Mediterranean and Rome after many years of saving might change our opinion.
