Skoda is driving towards a record 1.6% share of the corporate market, but despite increasing sales, fleet chief Martin Burke is still disappointed.

“We are on the way to achieving 17,500 registrations to account for half of total sales this year and that’s a tremendous performance, considering Skoda had no presence in fleet only five years ago.

“But we have high aspirations and I think we can do better - we should be growing at a faster rate,” he said.

Speaking as the company launched the biggest-capacity estate in the upper-medium sector, Burke predicted Skoda would take a 2% share of fleet registrations in the mid term and account for 3% by 2014.
