Mercedes-Benz has introduced fixed-price repairs for its most popular models, giving a clear pricing structure across the UK.

Fixed Price Repairs covers the A, B, C, CLC and E-Class models, as well as the entire Smart range. Mercedes-Benz will extend the scheme to other models in its range next year. It means that pricing for replacement parts and fitting them will be the same across the country.

Mercedes-Benz’s customer services director, Angela Shepherd, said: “Fixed pricing provides all the reassurances that customers need on pricing and strengthens the benefits utilising the expertise of an official workshop.”

Audi launched fixed rate servicing, maintenance and repair earlier this year (Fleet News, May 14), offering contract hire and leasing companies a fixed national price rate.

Fellow premium brand BMW offers its Service Inclusive package which covers servicing and some replacement parts for five years/60,000 miles for a fixed, up-front fee (starting from £660).
