Cybit has launched an initiative in the housing association sector aimed at streamlining operations in the face of public sector budget cuts.

It is offering a consultancy-based service in an effort to eliminate unnecessary and wasted journeys, optimise staffing costs and enhance fuel spend analysis.

Fleetstar-Online, Cybit's telematics offering, collects and analyses, and reports on data. This initiative it aims to take this information to make improvements, such as effective journey planning and dispatch procedures.

John Wisdom, Cybit’s sales and marketing director, said: “Fleetstar's advanced data collection, reporting and consultancy based services will provide the housing associations with invaluable information about their fleets, to drive efficiency targets in the present and inform future resource management strategies.”

Ashfield Homes, Severnside Housing, Cheshire Peaks & Plains Housing, Colchester Borough Homes and River Clyde Homes are amongst the associations already using the technology.
