David George has been appointed as head of marketing for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. He takes over from Steve Reynolds, who is leaving to take up a new post as vice-president of strategy and planning for Volkswagen in China.

George is currently head of learning services at the Volkswagen Group's National Learning Centre. His previous roles include national sales manager for Audi as well as numerous marketing roles within the Volkswagen Group.

Reporting into George will be another new addition to the team - Phil Taylor, who joins as market and planning manager.
