The hunt is now on for the winners in 24 categories ranging from the best fleet managers in a range of industry categories to Britain’s greenest van fleet manager.

The environment will also be a key factor in the awards for the best vans on the market, with a new award for Best Green Van, alongside traditional categories covering the key weight ranges in the sector.

But the biggest changes are in the Service Awards categories, where a string of new awards have been introduced, including Van Fleet Dealer of the Year and Van Remarketing Initiative of the Year.

There are also chances for companies to show their best initiatives in a range of other disciplines, including leasing, fleet management, rental, safety and technology.

In addition, this year’s Awards will be revealing the Van Service and Repair Company of the Year.

Fleet Van will also be searching for worthy winners of its headline awards, covering Van Fleet of the Year, Van Fleet Service Company of the Year, Van of the Year and Van Manufacturer of the Year. Fleet Van will also be announcing the winner of the prestigious Editor’s Award.

Full details of the entry criteria for each award are available on the dedicated event website, which can be found at www.fleetvanevent.com.

Every entrant, including manufacturers, can fill in a questionnaire to ensure the judges can make the fairest and most balanced decision possible when choosing a winner.
This year, there will also be an element of reader voting in some categories to engage with the widest possible number of people when making a decision.

Trevor Gelken, editor of Fleet Van, said: “This has been an incredibly tough year for everybody involved in the van fleet market, from the manufacturers and service companies right down to the managers of the smallest fleets.

“After such a torrid time, it is only right that we should recognise the hard work of those who have put in so much hard work to support their fleets and companies.”

The winners of this year’s awards will be announced during a gala dinner at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham, on the evening of September 16, shortly after the end of the Fleet Van Conference.

  • Best practice advice for van fleet operators that will help them keep costs under control in tough economic conditions will available at the Fleet Van Conference.
  • The conference takes place on September 16 at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham, and is followed in the evening by the annual Fleet Van Awards.
  • Content for this year’s conference is still being
developed, but it will include a range of detailed case studies, in-depth advice on reducing fleet costs, financial management, risk management and innovation.
