Burton on Trent-based CBVC Vehicle Management has supplied 100 Ford Connect and Transit vans to ThyssenKrupp Elevators in a contract with a list price of £1.3m.

Deliveries to the global supplier of passenger transportation equipment’s 21 offices were made in batches up to 15 vehicles to facilitate ease of handover to the service teams and collection of their existing vehicles.

ThyssenKrupp selected CBVC from short list of four potential suppliers on the strength of its fleet operation overview. This highlighted potential savings in the region of £70,000, by accurately setting the vehicle contracted mileages.

The contract are on four-year 80,000 and 100,000 mileage agreements with ‘maintenance inclusive’.

The vans, sourced through Ford dealer, Ringways of Doncaster, were chosen to standardise the fleet. They replace an existing mixed fleet of Mercedes, Vauxhall, VW, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault and Ford vehicles.
