Preston-based UK Carline has launched a CO2 offset initiative to enable its private and public sector clients to help manage their carbon emissions.

It has been working with carbon offset business CO2 Balance to research carbon offset initiatives that will make absorb or prevent the release of carbon emissions.

One of the projects to benefit from UK Carline’s initiative is to provide families in Kenya with energy saving cooking stoves. The new stoves will prevent three tones of carbon being emitted into the atmosphere every year.

Approximately £50,000 will be invested into offset schemes by UK Carline each year and the new scheme will apply to all vehicles including business or privately leased cars and vans.
