Ford has taken the wraps off its new C-MAX mini-MPV which is due to go sale here in the second half of next year.

The new version has more sleek styling than the current, more boxy model, and is said to preview how the new Focus model will look when it goes on sale in late 2010. The C-MAX also shares its platform with the next Focus.

The C-MAX will debut Ford's new EcoBoost direct injection petrol engine range, and will be offered with a blind-spot detection system and a semi-automated parallel parking device.
