The new Fleetmate card utilises the recently-formed 2,500-site MyFuel network, which combines the existing Keyfuels network with a further 1,500 retail sites including some leading supermarket brands, expected to be announced in the new year.
These new town and city centre fuelling locations give greater control to both drivers and fleet managers wishing to shop around for the lowest fuel price. The new card combines competitive bunker pricing on the Kefuels network, with pump prices at the new retail sites.
The Fuelcard Company already supplies HGV and commercial drivers with fuel cards which make fuel purchases at motorway service stations and out-of-town sites more convenient and less costly.
Jakes de Kock, The Fuelcard Company’s marketing director, said ‘Fleetmate’ would help the largest UK fleets significantly reduce their fuel spend.
“The new Fleetmate card will offer both convenience and cost savings to fleet managers. They can take advantage of a large discounted network, coupled with the convenience and low pump prices at the many town centre supermarket sites. Fleetmate will utilise one of the largest multi-branded networks in the UK so not only are sites easier to access, but many also offer a significant discount on pump price,” he said.
“At a time when budgets are stretched – particularly in the public sector following the recent spending cuts – this fuel card could really help businesses make significant savings on their fuel spend,” added de Kock.
