The Burnt Tree Group will take delivery of 800 new vehicles in the next eight weeks having invested £14 million in its fleet.

The total Burnt Tree portfolio now stands at over 9,000 vehicles and provides a one stop shop for fleet managers with cars, small, medium and large vans, 3.5 tonne tippers, 7.5 tonne box vans and 44 tonne tractor units just some of the vehicles it provides.

This is the third year in a row the group has spent a significant sum on its fleet bringing the total invested for the last three years to almost £120 million.

Some of the vehicles, from the likes of Vauxhall, Ford, Citroen and Volkswagen, will replace existing vehicles which have come to the end of their life cycle. However more than 50% are additional vehicles.

Chief executive Richard Metcalfe said: “Our utilisation figures remain very buoyant and are currently running at an all time high for the company. We are continuing on our strategy for growing the business, but haven’t been afraid to stand back and make difficult decisions where necessary.”
