Navman Wireless UK is celebrating after being named ‘Business of the Year’ and its founder Tony Neill was named ‘Young Businessperson of the Year’ at the 2010 Sentinel Business Awards.
“The people within the business are everything and they have been the driving force behind its success. I can’t thank them enough,” said executive vice president Neill. “It’s lovely to be recognised personally, but this is all about the team.”
Neill set up Navman Wireless in 2001 having recognised the potential for the vehicle tracking industry. Today it tracks more than 110,000 vehicles worldwide.
The company’s system enables business users to track, message and monitor their fleet from almost any PC at any location, providing vital information about companies’ workforces and mobile assets.
The HSBC Commercial Banking sponsored Business of the Year Award, and the Beswicks Solicitors sponsored Young Businessperson of the Year Award were presented during a gala dinner at the Best Western Stoke-on-Trent Moat House on Tuesday, March 23.
