Tripod Crest Group has upgraded their current fleet management system from Enigma Vehicle Systems Plc to include their new lone worker programme.
The lone worker system is an add-on to the Skyline system that is operated by a rocker switch in the vehicle cab. Before the driver leaves the cab to carry out a task, they switch on the lone worker system for a set period of time and if the driver does not return in that time to switch off the system, an alarm signal is sent to Enigma. The first reaction is for Enigma to ring the driver on their mobile telephone to check they are ok and merely delayed from returning to the cab. If there is no answer, then Enigma contacts one of several 24-hour emergency numbers at Tripod Crest for action to be taken by the company.
Jim Tough, plant director at Tripod Crest, said: “I have been very impressed with the theft prevention and fleet management capabilities offered by the Skyline system from Enigma. In addition, the Lone Worker System is so simple and yet provides our staff with a safeguard, giving them full confidence to carry out their duties. I would recommend the Skyline system to any Fleet Manager and I’m surprised the Lone Worker System has not been adopted by more companies in our field.”
The Skyline GPS tracking and telematics system offers a number of reporting options which vehicle and plant fleet managers can use to customise the data retrieval and reporting offered by their system to provide reports that suit their specific purposes.
