Isotrak has struck a deal with Lysanda to buy 10,000 bespoke Eco-Log units to be used by clients including Skanska and Marks & Spencer.
Eco-Log is connected to the on-board diagnostic system and calculates how much fuel is required for each given journey and as a result how much is being wasted.
Feedback is provided through an in-vehicle display, which encourages small behavioural changes, while detailed data is also supplied to the fleet manager.
“Fleet efficiency is fundamental to company profitability,” explained Lysanda chief executive Alex Willard.
“Volatile oil prices have put additional focus on fuel efficiency and costs, which have direct impact on profit. Using vehicle engine data, Eco-Log takes fleet management to a new level of sophistication with significant fuel savings.”
