Gwent Mechanical Handling Limited has installed telematics units in its mechanic’s vehicles to help streamline the invoicing process and enhance fleet efficiency.
Tracker Reporter was installed on eight vehicles to reduce the number of customer queries on invoices, but also to improve the way engineers work.
Jason Parker, Gwent Mechanical Handling Limited, says, “Since installing Tracker Reporter we have already significantly reduced the number of customers contesting invoices. In addition, telematics allows us to keep track of our vehicles and our drivers, ensuring we reduce fuel wastage and stay on top of maintaining our fleet for the optimum in safety and efficiency. Tracker’s reporting system has made our invoices more accurate than ever, offering our customers a streamlined and efficient service.
“As our key operating area is in South Wales we needed to be sure of the mobile network availability, which is why we chose Tracker. The network has been very reliable and we also benefit from a premium level of after sales support and training from the Tracker team, ensuring we get the best out of the system.”
Stephen Doran, managing director of Tracker comments, “Keeping track of vehicle maintenance and ensuring driver safety and efficiency is a major challenge for businesses, but telematics offer companies the control they need. Gwent Mechanical Handling Limited is already reaping the benefits, just six months in and we shall be working closely together to ensure Tracker Reporter continues to reduce wastage and drive forward a new level of efficiency and customer care.”
