With the festive period soon upon us, E-Training World is offering companies a free guide to protect staff from the dangers of mixing alcohol and motoring.

Drink driving kills advises drivers of the hazards and consequences of drinking and driving, and is particularly aimed at the ‘morning after’ when drivers can unknowingly be over the limit whilst thinking they are safe.

The website has been specifically designed to educate drivers on this important life-saving subject and as they work through the short programme it backs up the guidance with EU statistics and EU Drink Drive limits.

As well as the legal implications of consuming alcohol and then driving, it also examines the effects on the body and explains the consequences this may have on aspects such as reaction times.

Also included is a guide to calculating units of alcohol and the time it will take for the body to process them. Finally the programme uses interactive sessions to highlight the risks and dangers surrounding drinking and driving.

“All fleet managers have to do to use the system, or to offer it to their company drivers, is click on the web site or link to it from their own web site or intranet,” explains Jonathan Mosley, director of sales and marketing at E-Training World.

“There are no forms to fill in, and no hidden agendas. As a business we are committed to road safety and this is a genuinely free tool for anyone to use.”
