Gowrings Mobility’s new factory represents a £1.5 million investment in a more than seventy thousand square foot site dedicated to British automotive specialist manufacturing.

“Having a permanent home for Gowrings has meant that we can invest in plant and equipment and a new layout that streamlines the production processes. Production is now more flexible for the future and new models such as our SpacePlus Doblo and new-design Movano have been quickly introduced into this new environment,” commented Gowrings Mobility’s managing director Ian Bosworth.

The official opening of the new factory was attended by Paralympian athlete, Karen Darke, who took the chance to see how the Doblo SpacePlusconversion she had been travelling in during the day, is converted.

At the new factory, vehicles will be permanently converted for wheelchair access based on in-house designs that are type approved for volume production by the DFT’s VCA.
