Snap-on, the manufacturer and marketer of tools and equipment for professional users, has re-appointed Arval as its sole-supply fleet service provider for the next four years in a deal that covers the UK and European operations.

The deal means that Arval will provide contract hire, fuel management, short-term rental and mini-lease solutions to Snap-on’s company fleet of 250 vehicles.

Made up of a mixture of mainly cars with some light commercials, they are used by the company’s salesmen and managers to offer the company’s products and services to its markets and customers both in the UK and Europe.

The strength of the relationship that Arval and Snap-on had built over the past four years was a major contributor to the deal as well as the value of consultancy carried out by Arval as part of the recent tender process.

Paul Clarke, UK human resources director for Snap-on, said: “We have been working with Arval for a number of years so we know what they can offer in terms of products, services, support and advice to our business. This relationship is important in allowing our drivers to stay mobile and provide the service that our customers expect.”
