Bell Group UK Ltd has boosted fleet performance, including fuel savings of more than 20 per cent, by using Ctrack’s vehicle tracking system to gain added visibility and control. As a result, the leading provider of commercial, industrial and public sector decorating and maintenance services, has awarded a five-year contract extension to Ctrack for the provision of advanced telematics technology across 252 vans within its fleet operation.

Using the Ctrack system Bell Group has been able to better manage its mobile resources by knowing the precise whereabouts of vehicles and employees in real-time. In addition to the improvements in fuel efficiency, the tracking system has helped the company to make significant savings including a reduction in insurance premiums.

Bell Group has also been able to effectively deploy mobile resources to customer sites, achieving faster response times and less mileage per job, by identifying the nearest vehicle and ensuring the employees have the appropriate skill set. Meanwhile, operational insight provided by historical reporting and trip analysis has enabled Bell Group to identify and reduce unauthorised and out-of-hours personal usage, which has helped lower overheads and support legislative compliance.

Ian Henderson, group managing director of Bell Group UK Ltd said: “The Ctrack system has become embedded within our operation because of the simplicity, functionality and flexibility of the tracking technology. By optimising our mobile resources, it has allowed us to address key fleet issues by keeping costs under control and enhancing the service to our customers.”
