Climatecars is reporting a record-breaking 2012, with figures showing that trading was up 43.8% year-on-year in December putting the environmentally-friendly taxi service on track to turnover £3.8 million in the year compared to £2.7million in 2011.
The business has won a series of new accounts increasing its customer base to more than 900 businesses across London.
It has also created 40 jobs during 2012 on the back of an aggressive expansion of the Climatecars fleet, which included the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz E300 Hybrid as Climatecars premium option.
"Climatecars has stayed focused on providing a reliable service, at a competitive cost with lower emissions than black taxis and many rival minicab companies,” said Nicko Williamson, CEO of Climatecars.
“We are delighted with the businesses performance in 2012.”
Williamson also points towards some exciting developments within the business in 2013. He said: “In January we introduced our new green premium service with the new Mercedes E-Class entering our fleet, in addition to our standard Prius hybrids.
“We will continue to invest in our business in 2013 with more technology announcements to be announced later in the year.”
