Fleet management suppliers are sought for a major social housing framework agreement in the North West of England.

Following a market consultation process in March this year, North West social housing procurement group, Procure Plus, has now issued a contract notice which will see suppliers provide purchasing and maintenance services to a number of housing providers across the region.

The new four-year agreement, which is worth up to £30 million, combines two formerly separate frameworks - one for leasing and the outright purchase of vehicles, and a second for services including driver assessment and training, maintenance, breakdown assistance and fuel cards.

Clare Tetlow, senior procurement manager at Procure Plus, said: "Earlier this year, we held a focus group with fleet suppliers to explore the feasibility of bringing together our two contracts and we had a great response. As such, we’re now looking for organisations that can provide our landlords with a one stop shop for all their fleet requirements from purchasing, to livery and roadside assistance.

"The successful companies will deliver an essential service for our landlords, so it’s critical that they can offer a responsive support package that gives excellent value. In return, the framework will be marketed robustly to our customers, meaning suppliers can be assured of many business opportunities and the chance to work with multiple housing providers."
