TRG Vehicle Hire branches into servicing

TRG Vehicle Hire has opened a service centre and has appointed industry expert Rob Tamone to launch and manage the initiative.

ServiceSmart creates a new arm to the business, which launched last year and now runs more than 230 vehicles across branches in Tolworth, Epsom and Croydon. It will initially launch at the Epsom head office and will service TRG's hire fleet as well as customers' vehicles.

Managing director Nigel Schroder said: “The business is growing at such a rapid pace, and we felt the time had come to provide our own in-house vehicle servicing. Not only is it more cost-efficient, but it is also reassuring that we have 100 per cent control when it comes to knowing how our vehicles are being maintained.

"The vehicle servicing sector is a profitable one to be in, and it will - eventually - create a healthy revenue stream. Our aim is to replicate the offering on the vehicle hire side; we want to provide the highest levels of service and the best technicians - our customers need to be totally confident in the service they are receiving. We want to offer a one-stop shop when it comes to aspects relating to motoring.
