Fiat Professional’s UK sales increased by 70% in 2013, outpacing both the LCV market and its main rivals.

It achieved twice the rate of growth of its nearest rival and made the largest market-share gains in the UK LCV market, increasing its overall stake by 1.5% to 4.4 %.

When every vehicle sold by Fiat Professional is factored in, including those classified as passenger cars and Ducato vans with a GVW of four tonnes, the brand’s market share is closer to 5.1%, its largest ever portion of the UK’s LCV market.

With more than 13,500 sales in total in 2013, Fiat Professional has leapfrogged two places to 8th overall in the LCV market, in a year where no new all-new models were launched by the brand.

Across Europe, Fiat Professional is now the third largest LCV manufacturer in terms of market share and the number one supplier of motorhome base vehicles, underpinning approximately two out of every three new motorhomes built in 2013.

Sebastiano Fedrigo (pictured), director, Fiat Professional UK, said: “We are extremely proud of the achievement of Fiat Professional in 2013.

"We have responded to the fierce competition in the market by listening to our customers and offering more derivatives, more technologies, improved efficiency, lower running costs and unbeatable customer service.

"With even more in the pipeline for 2014, we’re looking forward to another strong performance this year.”
