Breeze Volkswagen has completed a deal to supply more than 20 vehicles to 4Com Plc.
The fleet of 23 Volkswagen Golf Estates will be used by the 4Com engineers while they visit clients across the UK to perform telecoms installations, upgrades and on-site maintenance.
Following a review into operating costs and its company car policy, 4Com re-evaluated its existing fleet and searched the market for a new vehicle that met all the product criteria they were looking for, including large boot space to accommodate tools, as well as a vehicle that was suitable for engineers to use as their own company car during weekends and evenings with their families.
Adam Sullivan of 4Com said: “We wanted to acquire vehicles which were reliable, of high quality, large enough to carry equipment and with competitive whole-life costs. But they also needed to be desirable to our drivers so they enjoy using them during their spare time. The new Volkswagen Golf Estate is the perfect company car, combining excellent running costs, emissions, practicality and technology. Breeze Volkswagen is providing an excellent service and this is certainly contributing to an extremely smooth transition from the current vans.”
Neil Carlton, corporate department business development manager at Breeze Volkswagen, added: “Breeze Volkswagen is delighted the new Volkswagen Golf Estate has been selected by 4Com as its preferred fleet vehicle for its team of engineers to replace their vans. This new car is the most spacious and fuel-efficient Volkswagen Golf Estate ever and fleet buyers and drivers have been impressed by the quality, safety and value of the car as well as the low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

20 Vehicles.... is this really worth an article in Fleet News? A typical paid for article! The Focus estate would have been cheaper, more fuel effiecient and better on the P11D.
