David Wallace has been appointed business services director at RAC to lead the company's drive for growth.

He will be responsible for leading the development of the core business-to-business (B2B) customer base, and further improving the RAC’s B2B customer-focussed services.

Wallace joins the RAC from Epyx where he spent three years as sales and business development director. Prior to that he spent 12 years at the AA where he built and led the business services sales team.

RAC chief executive Chris Woodhouse said: “David Wallace is very well-known to most people in and around the wider motoring sector and as such brings a huge amount of experience and industry knowledge to the role.

“He will be pivotal in securing and winning new business in the B2B sector and I’m confident that his experience will be hugely valuable to the RAC as we take our iconic brand further into the future of motoring.

“His appointment follows shortly after Nick Walker joined us as RAC UK Telematics managing director and will further strengthen the expertise and vision of our senior leadership team.”
