A whole range of new vans will be available to test drive or assess as statics at this year’s Company Car in Action (CCIA).

They are coming to the event as as part of Vans in Action, which has become a key feature of CCIA and is now in its third year.

Taking place at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, on 12-13 June, the fleet test-driving event of the year offers fleet decision-makers and leasing company stakeholders the opportunity of putting dozens of full electric, plug-in hybrid and hybrid vehicles through their paces on four courses offering different terrains: Alpine hill, high speed bowl, last mile delivery circuit and off-road route.

Vans in Action is hosted by ‘electric van man’ Paul Kirby and sponsored by Geotab.

This year's feature promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Fleet decision-makers will get the first UK drives of US brand Canoo’s futuristic electric van LDV130 and Scottish electric off-road vehicle manufacturer Munro’s electric pick-up truck.

Vans confirmed for the show are:

  • Canoo LDV130 and LDV190
  • Citroen e-Dispatch
  • Ford Custom and Transit
  • My Electric Vehicle (MEV) Cargo and Pick-up
  • Iveco eDaily
  • Maxus eDeliver 7 and eDeliver 9
  • Mercedes-Benz eSprinter
  • Munro pick-up truck
  • Peugeot e-Partner
  • Renault Master
  • Vauxhall Combo Electric
  • Volkswagen ID Buzz

Kirby, director of EV Essentials, said: “Vans are key to the decarbonisation of transport and once again Vans in Action brings together a collection of the leading-edge vans that are available today and also offers an amazing glimpse into the future with new companies to market like Canoo and Munro bringing first drive opportunities.

“The other element that is key to the transition is the data that gives us insight to make the transition, and we excited to have GEOTAB supporting that side of things.”

Other brands not part of Vans in Action will also have their own vans on their stands.
