Bri-Stor Systems has unveiled a new centre of excellence for training and development, offering a hub for skills development through practical learning.

For more than 40 years, Bri-Stor Systems, part of The Hex Group, has been a conversion partner to the UK’s largest fleet operators.

Its new centre of excellence will offer three training modules, specifically designed to support its three pillars of development: initiate, rejuvenate and elevate.

The Hex Group says it is committed to attracting and training a new generation of skilled workers.

Karen Barnacle, group people and culture director, said: “The centre of excellence is just one example of how we’re investing in our people, ensuring they can face new challenges and continuously develop.

“With a dedicated learning and development group leader, responsible for the centre, we’re able to offer industry-leading mentorship and provide the business with a continuous flow of highly skilled workers.”

Sir Gavin Williamson, MP for Stone, Great Wyrley and Penkridge, who was a  guest at the opening of the centre, added: “As someone deeply committed to skills development, I am delighted by the company's dedication to facilitating continuous learning throughout their employees’ career journeys.

“This new training centre will provide invaluable opportunities for staff at all stages of their journey, empowering them to grow, adapt and build fulfilling careers."

As well as offering hands-on experience, Bri-Stor Systems’ centre of excellence integrates modern technology with practical learning.

Recently, Bri-Stor Systems launched the use of virtual reality into its van conversion process in order to minimise prototype waste and reduce vehicle lead times by up to 75%, all while improving sustainable practices due to less travel and manufacturing emissions.

Now this technology has been made available for training in the centre, offering employees the chance to grow their skills and embrace modern technologies.
