TOM Vehicle Rental is among one of 40 organisations to be awarded a Princess Royal Training Award.
The list of awardees includes public and private sector businesses of all sizes, that have been commended by Princess Anne for their commitment to training and skills development.
The rental company operates a fleet of more than 16,000 commercial vehicles from 15 depots nationwide.
The recognition is based on the 59 apprentices working across the UK and its history of offering training and development opportunities.
TOM Vehicle Rental’s chief executive officer Robert Stewart (pictured) said: “We’re delighted to have been recognised for our apprenticeship scheme.
“We believe in upskilling those who are new to the industry and encourage our employees to share their skills to ensure that we avoid any skills gaps in the future.
“We are passionate about supporting the next generation of employees and are proud of all of our apprentices working at our depots across the country.
“To receive royal recognition for the work we do with our apprentices is an honour and we look forward to attending the awards ceremony later in the year.”
The awards will be presented in a ceremony due to take place in autumn.
