Dennis Eagle has introduces the Olympus Midi, a compact refuse collection vehicle (RCV) for the 12-16 tonne weight category.
The 2025 Olympus Midi is offered in three variants with capacities of 9.8 cubic metres (OL-MIDI 10), 10.8 cubic metres (OL-MIDI 11) and 11.8 cubic metres (OL-MIDI 12).
With its wheelbase starting at 3.25m (OL-MIDI 10) and width of 2,350mm (DAF variant), the Olympus Midi offers improved manoeuvrability and a tight turning circle, making it suitable for navigating congested streets or rural lanes.
Designed to be fitted on the most common 12t to 16t GVW chassis in the market place, its engineers have worked with chassis providers to ensure seamless integration and provide optimum packaging and efficiency of the vehicle and body. The Midi can be built on a range of chassis, including DAF and Renault, alongside other providers.
Features include a compactor speed of 17 seconds and the widest tailgate hopper in its class. A configurable HMI display enables operators to efficiently manage key functions such as bin lifter movements, integration of body weighing systems, diagnostics, rear camera integration and access to the Terberg Connect telematics and remote diagnostics system.
Operators can choose from multiple bin-lifting configurations, including an integrated multifunction bin lift—ideal for 2- and 4-wheel waste collections—or a Terberg OmniDEL or OmniDEKA automatic bin lift. An open-back configuration is also available. Lifting capacity of the integrated lift is 500kg.
