Fleet and leasing supply chain management specialist, Fleet Assist has launched ‘desk-top audits’ in addition to its in-person ‘physical audits’.

The ‘desk-top audits’ programme joins the current physical quality audit programme, conducted by the field-based network management team. Fleet Assist hopes that new system will further ensure that data for all the network service points are as up to date as possible, in terms of the range of services they offer to fleet customers.

Normally, Fleet Assist's physical audits of service outlets have been conducted by field-based network managers, supported by the Cambridgeshire head office-based support team. However, to ensure there is sufficient resource available to complete the new desktop audits, Stephen Polhill, who previously worked in a senior capacity in the Fleet Assist service booking team, has been promoted to lead the ‘desk-top audits’ project.

Fleet Assist say the key benefits of "desk-top auidt" include pre-agreed terms and conditions, pricing and service standards with quality management and performance monitoring.

Vincent St Claire, commercial director, Fleet Assist, said: “Introduction of the ‘desk-top audits’ complement our ‘physical audits’. We are ensuring that we operate to the highest quality standards and records pertaining to our network of service outlets are as up to date as possible and that the garages themselves meet the highest possible standards.

“Quality assurance is essential to our contract hire and leasing companies as it is to their fleet clients. Our regular auditing of the entire network enables us to ensure all service, maintenance and repair work on vehicles takes place in the most appropriate outlets.”
