Wilsons Auctions is investing £1 million in an extensive refurbishment of its Newcastle site.

The company acquired the former SMA Remarketing Centre from British Car Auctions in February 2016 along with its Maidstone site, bringing its number of branches across the UK and Ireland to eight.

The new-look site is due to be finished in July and will feature new offices, reception area, first floor auction area and new restaurant.

Nigel Bink, general manager at Wilson Auctions, said, “This is a very exciting time for Wilsons Auctions Newcastle.

“We are dedicated in offering the best in quality service for both customers and clients and this investment we feel will offer a first class experience for everyone including our staff.

"It is very much business as usual at the site but we would like to thank everyone for their patience and continued support as the work is currently underway."

Wilsons Auctions Newcastle is one of the group’s biggest sites with 65 employees and offers approximately 20 auctions per month across cars, commercial vehicles and plant and machinery.
