Microlise Group has announced a limited-time offer for a 60-day free trial of its Clearvision artificial intelligence (AI) distraction camera.

Launched last year, the driver-facing camera uses AI to detect and mitigate distractions, with the aim of improving fleet safety.

According to research, 80% of all incidents are caused by distracted driving in the UK. Of these incidents, nearly 2000 people lose their life and 27,000 people are seriously injured.

Microlise Group's offer of a 60-day free trial of its Clearvision camera will enable companies to experience the benefits of real-time monitoring of driver behaviour, immediate feedback and alerts, video evidence of incidents, and targeted coaching and training for drivers as needed.

The camera has already shown impressive results, with one company reporting an 80% reduction in mobile phone distraction and a 43% reduction in overall risk after just three months of use.

In addition to enhancing safety, the Group’s Clearvision AI distraction camera and wider camera solution offers a host of other benefits, it says, helping to reduce insurance premiums, improve fuel efficiency, and enhance compliance with regulatory requirements.

Nadeem Raza, CEO at Microlise Group, said: “Since we launched this product 12 months ago, we’ve received positive feedback from businesses highlighting the benefits the AI Distraction Camera has had.

“Driver distraction is a serious issue that requires proactive measures, and our cameras offer a proactive and effective solution.

“This technology represents a major advancement in fleet safety, allowing companies to extend their health and safety culture out to road users. It truly demonstrates our commitment to creating safer roads and saving lives.”
