Lightfoot and Fleet News have joined forces to make this week’s Fleet and Mobility Live event carbon neutral for attendees.

Working in partnership with carbon offset specialist Evertreen, Lightfoot will plant trees for every attendee who tells us the miles they have travelled to and from the event at the NEC in Birmingham on Tuesday (October 8) and Wednesday (October 9).

Visitors will be prompted at two large screens by the entrance to Fleet and Mobility Live to input their mileage and the type of transport they have used (petrol, diesel, plug-in, electric or public transport).

Lightfoot will then use this data to work out the carbon emissions of every attendee who takes part and plant trees in the Lightfoot forest to off-set the emissions created by visitor journeys.

Lightfoot managing director, Paul Hollick, said: “Decarbonisation is one of the central pillars of our business in the UK and Europe, helping fleets to make their vehicles more efficient and improve driving behaviours. On average, we reduce CO2 emissions by 15% for fleet customers.

“We’re delighted to be working with Fleet News, using our fleet decarbonisation tools to offset the emissions created by visitors at Fleet and Mobility Live.”

More than 2,000 fleet decision-makers will descend on the NEC in Birmingham tomorrow (Tuesday) for two days of educational and information sessions at Fleet and Mobility Live

Key speakers will offer expert advice and share best practice for running safe and compliant car and van fleets in a packed schedule of panel discussions and presentations in three main theatre areas.
