Fleet Operations strengthens leadership team with senior appointment
Fleet Operations has announced the promotion of David Forbes to operations director.
Having been with the business for more than a decade, most recently as head of the operations division for five years, Fleet Operations said that he has been instrumental in driving significant improvements across all departments, notably in establishing and expanding the company’s technical services division.
His leadership has been crucial in not only enhancing operational efficiency, it added, but also in supporting the development of a 70-strong team.
Forbes will now chair the senior leadership team.

City Auction Group strengthens LCV management team
City Auction Group has strengthened its light commercial vehicle (LCV) management team with the appointment of Sam Magee as head of LCV.
He has more than 17 years within the auction remarketing industry experience having worked previously for Manheim as a field-base group auctioneer for seven years and prior to that as an account executive at BCA.
At Manheim, he was responsible for servicing and hosting the auctions from the rostrums physically, to post pandemic digital auctions, and then the return to physical sales across the UK network.
In his new role at City Auction Group Sam will be taking the lead of the LCV sales and auction programme building on the foundations set by the City Auction Group team across the UK and Northern Ireland.
He said: “I am delighted to join the City Auction Group within this senior role and can't wait to get involved with the continuing success it has experienced in Q1. It's also a home coming, back to where it all started in Peterborough a number of years ago.”

Senior appointments to drive Fleet Alliance’s sustainable mobility strategy
Fleet Alliance has made a number of senior appointments to underpin the growth of the fleet management provider as a sustainable mobility business.
Emma Lovick (pictured above) has been made head of people and Culture. Her remit is to develop the culture that underpins the business - called 'Fleet Alliance Loves', based on Fleet Alliance's core values of fairness, trust, engagement and respect - as the company grows in size.
Lovick was most recently head of HR at Mangata Networks UK, a global telecommunications company.
Paul King (pictured below) has also been named as Fleet Alliance’s new head of technology to oversee the investment being made in its leasing and procurement technology platform, Concilium.
Prior to joining Fleet Alliance, King was head of delivery at Avidity, a supplier of specialist sales and marketing services. He also has experience as head of IT at Blackwood Homes and care and IT programme manager at EMIS, a technology supplier to healthcare professionals.
There have also been internal promotions to reinforce the structure behind Fleet Alliance’s sustainable mobility strategy.
Senior executive team member, Angela Robertson, has been promoted from finance director to chief financial officer to reflect the breadth of her role within the business.
Meanwhile, Darren Stevens steps up from sales manager to take over as head of retail sales.
He is charged with covering retail sales across both the personal and salary sacrifice sectors, particularly as salary sacrifice increases in size and scope within the business.

Engineius names Roger Evans as chief operating officer
Engineius has appointed Roger Evans as its new chief operating officer.
He will be responsible for taking the Engineius operations team and its network of drivers and agents for the next phase of growth.
Chris Clibbery, founder and CEO at Engineius said: “We are thrilled to formally welcome Roger back to the team, leveraging on his valuable contribution whilst supporting Engineius as a consultant from 2019 to 2021.

Evans has held a number of roles across multiple companies, facilitating the implementation of multinational solutions and strategic business turnaround initiatives.
He said “It feels fantastic to be back at Engineius and witness the progress it has made in enhancing its offerings for customers and drivers since I was last here in 2021.
“Now with over 600 drivers and agents on our network, their significant role in the business' growing success cannot be overstated. I am looking forward to engaging with them soon as we move through the next stage on the Engineius journey."
FleetEV appoints Louise Griffin as operations manager
Cardiff-based electric vehicle provider, FleetEV, has appointed Louise Griffin as the brand’s new operations manager.
Griffin has more than 20 years of senior management experience in marketing and customer service in the education, manufacturing, and financial services sectors.
“I am thrilled to join the FleetEV team during this exciting time of development,” she said. “I look forward to contributing to the company's growth and playing a pivotal role in establishing FleetEV as the premier provider for EV leasing, salary sacrifice, and fleet solutions.”

Mark Hallam joins ZF Aftermarket UK as marketing manager
ZF Aftermarket UK has announced the appointment of Mark Hallam as marketing manager, for the UK and Ireland.
He will oversee the company's marketing function for the UK and Ireland market, supporting all sales channels including passenger car, commercial vehicle and industrial sectors.
With a background in the automotive aftermarket, Hallam joins the business from Niterra UK (formerly NGK Spark Plugs), where he was marketing manager.
"I am excited to join ZF and take on this exciting opportunity to help lead the marketing strategy within the team," he said.
"I am particularly drawn to the wide scope of the role, which includes supporting sales channels across passenger car, commercial vehicle, and industrial sectors.
