Tuning box designer and producer TDI-Tuning has registered a 25% increase in demand from the UK commercial vehicle market in the first quarter of 2015.

“Traditionally, it is the businesses with a small fleet that approach TDI-Tuning, asking for advice as to how to make their vans, transporters and trucks perform to their best, while minimising fuel consumption,” said Graeme King, principal at TDI-Tuning.

“Vehicles such as a Mercedes 616 CDi Sprinter transporter or a 3.0 519 with a triple axle trailer, for example, benefit from our Twin Channel CRTD2, which controls fuel and boost to maximise torque delivery across the rev range,” adds King.

“Strong and consistent torque delivery, with less gear-changing and more responsiveness, are all factors which save businesses money on high fuel costs.

"On average, an improvement of 2-3mpg means a £2,000-£5,000 overall annual saving.”
