Renault is claiming best-in-class residual values for its new Kadjar crossover.

CAP is predicting average residual values of 43 per cent for the Kadjar range after three years and 60,000 miles, which Renault claims is at least 3 percentage points better than any of its six major rivals from Europe and South Korea.

Every version of the new Kadjar will retain at least 42 per cent of its list price over the assessment period, according to CAP data. The car starts from £17,995.

The C-segment is being offered in an 18-version line-up based on three engines, two gearboxes, two drive systems and four trim lines.

Every model but one can exceed 50mpg in the NEDC combined cycle test, and eight better 70mpg. Four versions have CO2 emissions of less than 100g/km.
