Honda has reduced the list price of its e:Ny1 electric SUV to £39,995 - a price cut of £5,000.
It's the first car to be built on Honda's all-new front-wheel-drive e:N Architecture F platform.
The e:Ny1 is a visual twin to the Honda HR-V and will compete in the same segment.
The car comes with a complimentary Five Year Care Package, which includes servicing, warranty and Europe-wide roadside assistance.
It has a range of 256 miles (WLTP) from its 68.8kWh battery.
The electric motor in the e:Ny1 develops 204PS and 310Nm, enabling a 0-62mph acceleration time of 7.6 seconds.

All models feature a 15.1-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument display. The My Honda+ app allows users to schedule climate control and remote charging via their smartphone as part of the Core Connectivity package, which is complementary for the first eight years of ownership. The Digital Key package, which enables the driver and up to five others to lock, unlock and start the vehicle via the app, is free of charge for the first year of ownership. The Safety and Journey package, also complementary for the first year, provides Digital Roadside Support in the event of a breakdown, while Geo Fence technology immediately notifies the owner if their vehicle is moved or travels outside a set area without authorisation.
The line-up starts with the Elegace, priced at £39,995. Standard equipment includes an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heatied front seats, auto dimming mirrors, dual zone air conditioning, a wireless charging pad, smart entry and push button start, and privacy glass.
A range-topping Advance grade starts from £42,195 and introduces premium synthetic leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, heated leather steering wheel, and premium audio system.
The Advance grade also features a handsfree power tailgate and Honda’s Parking Pilot system, which is supported by a multi-view camera system as well as additional side sensors.
Honda’s full suite of SENSING active safety technology is fitted as standard across the e:Ny1 range. Driver aids include Collision Mitigation Braking, Blind Spot Information, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keep Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition, plus front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.
The e:Ny1 has been on sale since October, with prices orignally starting at £44,995.
