Matt Collins has become the new general manager national sales, customer support, at BMW Group UK.
He replaces Dan Pulleyn, who has has been appointed to the role of general manager national sales for BMW and succeeds Rob East
East replaced David Beattie as used cars sales director at the start of the year, with Beattie becoming the new director for Mini UK and Ireland.
Collins was named the general manager of corporate sales at BMW in June 2023, replacing Steve Roberts, who had been appointed head of sales at Mini UK.
He took up his new role from February 1, with BMW saying he brings a wealth of experience in sales, dealer development and product management in both the UK and the US to his new position.
Having joined BMW in 2006, Collins has worked in various capacities for the manufacturer, particularly in strategy and product marketing.
He led BMW sales and marketing for western USA from 2014, before returning to the UK in 2022 to support several strategic projects designed to shape the future of the business.
Voted Fleet Manufacturer of the Year for the sixth consecutive year at the 2024 Fleet News Awards, BMW is a firm favourite with fleet customers.
Speaking to Fleet News last year, Collins talked about the brand's range. “We're a customer-oriented company,” he said. “If you look at our range, that's what we're genuinely trying to do and if there are channels or particular customers that want a certain mix then we want to try and provide it for them across a good range of products.”
BMW is expected to announce a new general manager of corporate sales in due course.
